The temple

We reach the far end of the park. There are workers with trucks taking a break, sitting in the shade and smoking. While I wouldn't call us out of place entirely it's clear that not a ton of non-Indians make there way along this section.

We can't get to the temple here. It's fenced off. We'll have to swing along the southern side of the temple grounds to a gate near the eastern end.

We exit the park onto a busy street. There are vendors selling all kinds of food stuffs. Carts of the most primitive sort. Across the intersection there are perhaps a hundred or so locals queued up for something. The streets are busy with usual traffic of cars, taxis, auto-rickshaws, motorbikes, bicycles and pedestrians.

Paul and I walk east along the road that borders the southern edge of the temple grounds and approach the entrance. Traffic whizzes by and there are buses and many cars parked nearby. Clearly this temple is a popular destination.

We get in line and quickly gain entry after a simple bag check. There are several military men monitoring the entrance. One, with his rifle, is reading a nearby tablet that describes the temple's history.
